Friday fog prompted an Advisory for the northern part of the state, down to around Logansport and Marion. Make sense. They were the areas that got the best soaking from yesterday’s cold front. It was hit and miss for central Indiana. It missed the Indy Airport, which means today will be the 14th consecutive day with no measurable rainfall. Muncie did receive .16″ of an inch Thursday, and a trace fell in Lafayette. Terre Haute measured .14″, and a trace also fell in Bloomington. Radar indicates up to an inch fell in Wayne County, including the city of Richmond.
This week’s Drought Monitor puts Indiana back into the drought mix for the first time in awhile, with the central part of the state and the northwest corner of Indiana highlighted for “abnormally dry” conditions.
No more rain is likely for several days. Clouds and humidity will both decrease today. The muggy weather will return by Sunday night. An upper level ridge will build over the state next week and set up the typical Dog Days Of Summer. Daytime highs around 90, nighttime lows around 70, and plenty of humidity.
Makes the relatively-pleasant weekend seem even sweeter, doesn’t it? Make the most of it!
