something in my lap – what is that anyway? And why is is Teddy upside down? I get to re-visit my childhood this weekend. My home town of Andrews Indiana (pop. 1200 when I was growing up) asked me to be the Grand Marshall of their Summer Parade. The weekly paper in Huntington County did a story that was posted this week. The last time I was on the front page of a Huntington paper (33 years ago in a profile with the prophetic title “A Most Busy Fella”) it led to my first broadcast firing, so I’m hoping for the best. I also got invited this week to speak to the Radio/TV classes at Huntington North High School, where I first started yapping out loud in the late 70s on WVSH radio. They want me to talk about the many changes in Media over my long long long long long time in the thick of it. Put these two invitations together, and that’s why I believe I must be about to kick the bucket. These are things no one asks a healthy young dude to do, right? Well, it was nice knowing you. Rest assured: This old man plans to go out in a blaze of new endorsements: Prep H (Paul Poteet’s Gotta Seat) and little blue pills (Paul Poteet’s Gotta Heat?) (Needs work.) (#TWSS.)]]>
