Not one, but two cold front are coming in the next 24 hours, and that means not one, but two things. First things first. Today will be the warmest day of the work weeki, with temperatures similar to yesterday. Chances of showers and storms will be around today, but be greatest in the north and south corridors of the state because of the alignment of low pressure areas. The best chance everywhere for rain and storms will arrive this evening, right behind cold front number one. A reinforcing front will zip just south of Indy by rush hour Tuesday morning. The second thing’s the nice thing. Temps tomorrow through the rest of the week will be below average, with highs in the mid to upper 70s and nighttime lows solidly in the 50s. And plenty of sun. One other thing about today: an isolated storm or two could produce damaging winds or large hail during storms this afternoon and tonight. Otherwise…the main threats will be lightning and brief heavy rain. The next rain chance doesn’t arrive until Sunday. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 84 and the average low is 65. Records are 101 and 47. The sunrise time is 6:55 and the sun sets at 8:45. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 84. My forecast was 84. DETAILED INDIANAPOLIS FORECAST: Today: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of afternoon showers and storms. High 85. Tonight: Chance of showers and storms. Low 65. Tuesday: Partly cloudy. High 79. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 55. Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High 76. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear. Low 55. Thursday: Mostly sunny. High 75. Thursday Night: Mostly clear. Low 56. Friday: Mostly sunny. High 78. Friday Night: Mostly clear. Low 60. Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 80. Saturday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 65. Sunday: Slight shower/storm chance. High 81. ]]>
