Another pretty decent day Monday, considering these are often the Dog Days Of Summer. Morning temperatures – at least outside of Indianapolis – again begin in the 50s. There will be a mix of cloudsand sun Monday, and humidity will continue to be low. An upper air disturbance approaches from the northwest Monday, and could brush Lafayette, Kokomo and Muncie with the southern area of showers and perhaps some storms by evening. Humidity will increase, and rain/storm chances will return to the entire state Tuesday and stay through at least Wednesday. The biggest chances will be centered on Wednesday. A cold front should sink southward Thursday. It’ll be close enough to keep at least a chance of showers and storms around through Thursday. Another front appears to drop down Saturday, although with no moisture to work with. Nonetheless, it will reinforce the cooler than average air. Only two days in my seven-day forecast are close to average: Tuesday and Wednesday. Otherwise, no dog days. Just hot dog days. Ask for them deep fried. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 84 and the average low is 65. Records are 103 and 51. The sun rises at 6:48 and it sets at 8:54. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 80. My forecast was 79. DETAILED INDIANAPOLIS FORECAST: Today: Partly sunny. High 81. Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy. Low 64.
