Friday starts again with many central Indiana cities in the 50s, along with low wind speeds and humidity levels. There are changes coming. You’ll see more clouds today, with the approach of a cold front from the west.
That front means chances of showers and storms tonight and yet another shot of cooler air for the weekend. A record low temperature is possible by the morning of the Brickyard. The lowest temperature in Indianapolis for July 28 is 54 degrees, and my forecast for the morning is 53. Great weather for fans in the stands, with Race Day highs in the mid 70s.
Speaking of Sports (and Weather together) Colts Camp also opens with sunshine on the campus of Anderson University Sunday.
Weekend shower and storm chances will peak this evening and overnight, but a lingering shower is still possible early Saturday morning. There might be a few showers that pop around Muncie or Richmond Saturday afternoon.
The next rain and storm chance arrives Tuesday. I don’t anticipate any above-average temperatures….or any really uncomfortable weather… until about Thursday.
