Another soupy and stormy forecast for Indiana. Morning temps will start in the 70s, already a notch higher than Monday’s lows. Yesterday was the first day of the month that the high temp went above average in the central part of the state. Not a lot of rainfall. A trace was reported in Muncie and Indy, with .01″ of an inch in Lafayette. An isolated shower fell near Richmond early this morning. Upper air support for severe weather inches closer this afternoon, and north/northwest Indiana could get some large hail and damaging winds. That threat south to just about Lafayette this afternoon and evening. The risk for severe weather covers all of central Indiana tomorrow, as a cold front marches through. With abundant moisture, heavy rain is a possibility along with severe weather. The front clears out later Wednesday evening, and the state braces for five (!) potentially nice days in a row. On Twitter “@bee_guy_indy” was stung by the news: @PaulPoteet Dry stretch five days starting Thursday? Can it be true? Yes, it can. The last similar stretch was back from June 17-21. Since then Mr. Weatherman has been pretty active. Or, at least, the weather has been. INDY ALMANAC: The average high today is 85 and the average low is 66. Records are 103 and 52. The sun rises at 6:26 and it sets at 9:15. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION: Yesterday’s high was 86. My forecast was 87.
