It will be a few degrees warmer today than yesterday, although it will still be the sixth consecutive Indianapolis day with below average temperatures, so I’m definitely toasting my Wonder Bread for breakfast.
There have only been three days this month with above average temperatures. Two of them happened last weekend. That won’t be repeated, but today’s bright sunshine will be similar to last Saturday.
I always figure the wind speed is forecast is a big deal this time of year – in case you’re still fighting leaves. The breezes LAST weekend may have re-arranged your neighborhood lawn cover, but this weekend is significantly quieter. High pressure rules most of the county east of the Mississippi.
Holiday travel for most of the Midwest continues to look promising. Temperatures will simmer to about 60 on Turkey Day.
I’m keeping a slight chance of showers in the forecast late Monday night and Tuesday. We could use it. The year-to-date rainfall deficit is back up to 2.33 inches, thanks to our recent dry streak. It looks like we could stay drier and a little milder than normal through about the first week of December, and then a cold and snowy week could remind us of where we are and what time of year it is:)
