High pressure spends the day centered around West Virginia, and so our weather will be almost heaven for lovers of bright blue skies, colorful leaves (many of them on the ground), and of course, hanging around outside in the weather, waiting for a football game to begin.

Clouds increase tonight, and I think I’d be ready for at least a little rain and some thunder Monday. It appears we’ll get less than a quarter inch. The showers and storms could linger into very early Tuesday morning. The bulk of Tuesday, all of Wednesday, and some of Thursday will be dry and midl. Temps just to about ten degrees above normal. Storms could return by Thursday evening, and a strong cold front will knock down the numbers faster than a Felix Free Fall next weekend.
Not cold enough for snow, but there’s some on the national maps today. Periods of rain and mountain snow will continue in the Pacific Northwest today as a cold front moves across the region. Winter Storm Watches are now in effect for the Northern Sierra Mountains for Monday as a strong storm brings the first snows of the season. Coastal locations in California will receive their first significant rainfall event of the season as this storm moves inland on Monday.
