Blue sky and green grass today. We’ll shake those pesky weekend clouds with the help of high pressure. The center of that high drifts from northern Indiana in the morning to central Ohio tomorrow. It stays large and in charge through Thursday, and its clockwise circulation will return southerly winds to our story starting tomorrow, allowing temps to warm again. It will stay comfortable though, with humidity held in check tfn.
No rain is in the forecast until Friday. I guess we deserve a break. The Indy Metro area totals from the last two weeks generally range from 5-7 inches. Last month’s 6.51 inches was the most in a month for Indianapolis since June of 2011, when 5.76 inches fell. We are already up to 4.93 this month, so the next target would be 7.98 inches, which came in April of 2011.
Here’s a different way to look at it: August of this year was over 72 times wetter than June, when .09 of an inch fell!
The work week rain forecast is pretty dry, with some exceptions in the southwest and southeast corners of the country.
