The Heat Advisory is now in place until 8pm Sunday. Weekend highs will be in the upper 90s in Indy, and humidity will push the “feels-like” temp back into triple digits.
There IS another risk for severe storms Saturday afternoon and evening. Once again the best chance will be in the nothern half of the state.
Indianapolis officially broke a dry streak that started June 4. It wasn’t much. The Aiport measured .04″ of an inch. That brings us to .09″ for the month. That would still be the driest June on record, but it will no longer be the driest MONTH on record.
Friday was the second consecutive days of 100+ weather in Indy, and also the second consecutive record high temperature day. The high was 103, and that broke another 1934 record.
It was the second straight day in June for 100 degree readings at Indianapolis. The last occurrence of back to back 100 degree days was July 8-9, 1988.
