See the snow that’s still left from yesterday morning? You won’t see it much longer. The most efficient melter is heading our way late this afternoon and tonight. Rain returns, and there could even be some thunder this evening and overnight. There could be a half-inch of rain (yep, that would be a lot of snow) from Indy northward. Amounts south of Indy will be a quarter-inch or less. I think the rain could start just as afternoon drive starts today, and would be over by the end of the morning rush Thursday.
Still a nice longer term forecast. Friday looks promising, with plenty of sun, and temps in the mid 40’s. It might be a bit breezy. But it will be a lot Friday! There is a cold front zipping through Saturday, but for the moment it looks uneventful. No Arctic air awaits within the next week. Sorry, snowbirds!
Yesterday’s winter white prompted @kristinjhand to send a Twitter question: “When was the last Valentine’s Day to not have snow falling? It seems like it happens ever year.” The answer: last year! Although 1″ was already on the ground. So it doesn’t happen every Valentine’s Day. Love CAN mess with our memories, right?
