Ready for the terrible teens? I will show you MY personal example in today’s Star@Sunrise weather video, and Mother Nature plays her hand tonight, with temperatures sinking after the snow is done falling.
Morning drive time will be fine, but snow could start anytime between the end of lunch and the start of the afternoon rush. Visibilities could be limited at times, and by the time the snow diminishes late this evening, most places will see around an inch. Some spots in eastern and southeastern Indiana could get closer to two inches.
Then: the wind! Expect gusts around 25-30 mph both late this evening and through the day Saturday. That translates to single digit chills all day Saturday, and perhaps near zero chills Saturday night. There may be a few flurries around Indy Saturday, and Lake Effect snow will pound The Region in northwest Indiana, with anywhere from 6 inches to a foot falling.
The wind will relax around here Sunday, but it will still be cold. The next storm could bring snow Monday night transitioning to rain Tuesday, but it’s still a little to early to throw out amounts. Looks like a rain thing next Thursday.
