“I am 12 pounds and 20 inches long. I have brown fur and brown eyes.”
You aren’t surprised that “Punxsutawney Phil” has his own Facebook Page, are you? Address? “102 W Mahoning Street.” Personal interests? “eating, sleeping, climbing, and making appearances.” Been there, done that!
I confess I remember a lot more about the movie “Groundhog Day” than the ACTUAL Groundhog Day. I sympathize with a twitter friend named “CubsWin1908” who just wrote: “So do we want the shadow or not? I can never remember.”
I think we *don’*t want it…right? Maybe I need to tweet Mahoning Street, just to confirm.
Fog may keep those shadows down early today. Visibilities have been under a mile in some spots, thanks to light winds and clear skies above the cloud at the ground. Those will both be positives as the fog lifts by mid morning. Another beautiful day in Super Bowl Village, with one more to come before the rain arrives by Saturday.
Yesterday’s high exceeded the forecast, and so we hit 60 degrees. The high was 61 the day before. The last time we had back to back 60’s was late November 2011, around Thanksgiving. That’s the holiday where you eat for 6 weeks, then see the shadow from your stomach. Or something like that.
