Saturday begins with a fast moving clipper system moving through from west to east, spreading a little snow. It’ll feel colder. The Indy high yesterday was officially 42, but today’s temperatures will be lower, and the winds higher. Gusts through the weekend could reach 35 mph, so be ready to zip up your coat before you Zip through Downtown Indy’s Super Bowl Village. Best chance of snow will east of Indy after daybreak, and out of the state by mid-morning.
Expect total accumulations of 1-2 inches from Lafayette through Kokomo and Muncie northward to Michiana. Further south through the interstate 70 corridor, including the Indianapolis metro, snow will total an inch or less. Smaller totals should be the story across southern portions of central Indiana where the snow mixed with rain.
Sun’s on the schedule for the afternoon. Indiana highs will range from 33 in South Bend to 41 in Evansville.
No problems cruising the super sights tonight, and you’ll only fight a few flurries tomorrow on Georgia Street. Still a couple of fronts between now and the Big Game. That means rain chances Tuesday and Thursday. I may have to add in one more final chance of rain and/or snow Saturday. Stay tuned.
