This is an upper air chart of the atmosphere on Monday. That big circle in the middle connects areas of similar pressure. In this case, it’s high pressure that will be sitting over much of the country, helping to put a lid of widespread precipitation formation next week. Indiana highs will be into the low to mid 90’s Monday through Friday. This chart shows the the areas most likely to see 100+ heat index numbers on Tuesday. All of Indiana has that chance, with the southwest half of the state almost guaranteed to feel like 100+.
