A partly sunny, hot and humid afternoon across the state. A cold front will approach later from the north/northwest and bring a chance of late afternoon and evening showers and storms from north to south. Some of the storms could reach severe levels north of the dashed line you see on this map. After the front passes Sunday should be mainly dry, although there is a chance of showers/storms from around Bloomington southward. Most of the Independence Day should be dry, but we’ll have to watch for a possible complex of storms over central and southern Indiana Monday morning.
BTW, the record high is in no danger today. It’s 99 degrees, from 1970. The average high is 85.
