Several clusters and bands of thunderstorms are moving along and east of a cold front to our west and around surface low pressure in Central Illinois. Strong instability remains in advance of the broken line to the south of a warm front across our state. A larger squall line is expected to grow through the late evening hours. Damaging wind should be the most common threat, although large hail & a few tornadoes do remain possible, especially this evening with storms that may start spinning independently of the squall line.
