Indiana’s Weather For Tuesday

May 2, 2017

Here we go again. Rain could be heavy from Wednesday night into Thursday. How heavy? Up to another three inches could fall.

Blame this low pressure coming out of the southwest and moving up the Ohio RIver Valley Wednesday night and Thursday.

This time the threat is strictly heavy rainfall. Severe weather in our state is not expected. Of course, heavy rain is enough at this point. The Indy total year to date is up to 16.18 inches. The average is 12.51 at this point. I guess we’ve made up for the lack of moisture from snowfall.

The average high today is 69 and the average low is 48. Records are 87 (1959) and 31 (2005, 1961, 1877). The sun rises at 6:44am and sets at 8:41pm.

Today: Partly sunny. Wind gusting to 35 mph. High 62.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 40.

Wednesday: Partly sunny morning. Mostly cloudy afternoon. High 60.

Wednesday Night: Rain is likely, and it could be heavy. Low 46.

Thursday: Periods of rain. Rain could be heavy. High 54.

Thursday Night: Periods of rain Low 45.

Friday: Morning shower chances, then mostly cloudy. High 54.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 40.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Mainly morning showers. High 59.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 39.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. High 63.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear. Low 40.

Monday: Mostly sunny. High 67.
