Indiana’s Weather For Wednesday

April 19, 2017

Scattered showers and storms could pop in the afternoon heat, mainly in the northern third of the state.

Any of those storms have a marginal risk of producing large hail and/or damaging wind.

Tomorrow the cold front moves in, and storms become more widespread Thursday afternoon and evening. Again: a risk of severe weather.

Showers and storms will be gone by Friday as the cold front settles to the south, and our highs go a little below average for a few days.

Yesterday’s high was 77 in Indy. My forecast was 77.

The average high today is 65 and the average low is 44. Records are 85 (2002) and 23 (1983). The sun rises at 7:01am and sets at 8:28pm.

Today: Partly to mostly cloudy, with an isolated afternoon shower or storm possible. Southwest wind 5-15 mph. High 79.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a stray shower or storm possible. Low 63.

Thursday: Periods of showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon. High 80.

Thursday Night: Evening showers and storms, then partly cloudy after midnight. Low 47.
Friday: Partly sunny. High 62.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers, especially later. Low 44.
Saturday: Spotty showers likely. High 57.

Saturday Night: More spotty showers. Low 46.
Sunday: Partly sunny. High 62.

Sunday Night: Clearing. Low 45.

Monday: Mostly sunny. High 66.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 47.

Tuesday: Partly sunny. High 67.
