Four years ago today the Indy high was 104 degrees! (My forecast was off by one.)
Speaking of 2012: Yesterday was Indy’s 8th day of 90 or warmer in June. In the past 30 years, only 1988 (16), 1994 (11), and 2012 (12) had more. Normal is 3. Also, it was the 8th 90 or warmer day in Bloomington…the 11th! in the Haute…and the 6th in Muncie.
Polar opposite (pardon the pun; it’s compulsive) today. I will forgive you if you didn’t notice the cold front that went southward through Indiana overnight. It didn’t bring any loud storms…or any precipitation for that matter. It is significant, however, in terms of a shift to a northerly wind that is bringing in even drier air for the next few, pleasant days.
PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION
Yesterday’s high was 90 in Indy. My forecast was 90.
