The sun was one-and-done. Still nice to see it Sunday, if only for a day. Clouds are back today as we process the first of two Christmas Week weather makers.

Today’s system brings a chance of showers, especially to the north and west of Indianapolis, and especially in the afternoon and evening. Here are some snapshots of what it might look like on radar through the day, via the computer modeling at weatherbell.com.
Tomorrow we are in between systems, which is good if you’re still doing shopping and such. Should be a pretty dry day. Here’s the day time map:
Rain chances will return later in the evening as system number two lifts toward us from the south.
Rain is likely Wednesday morning. The wind will begin increasing Wednesday afternoon, and the rain should switch to snow by Wednesday late afternoon or early evening. The bulk of the snow will stick after that and until about sunrise on Christmas morning. During that time the wind could gust to 30 mph. Some sun will be out later Christmas Day. There are slight chances of rain-then-snow on Friday, and the weekend looks cold.
RADAR SEQUENCE

About an inch can be expected around here. Slightly more may accumulate from near Lafayette up toward Chicago. Here’s the computer-modeled snow depth on Christmas Morning:
