Today’s weather starts off gloomy and ends up looking good, so it’s like the opposite of last night’s game. (Too soon?)
Blame a thick deck of stratus clouds that will break up slowly from north/northwest to south/southeast through the morning.
Good news? High pressure centered over Iowa drifts across the Midwest the next few days. That means no more rain for awhile, and mostly clear weather from this afternoon through the rest of the work week. The high will still be over the East Coast by Friday. There is a change by Friday as an upper level ridge moves over us and temperatures finally approach average. Probably only one day above normal – that’ll be Saturday.
A cold front arrives early Sunday morning. There could be showers and storms after midnight late Saturday night into Sunday, mainly in the morning.
