The Indians have an afternoon game today, and from the first to last inning we could add a few clouds. There is rain to the West. Could be two inches today from Minneapolis down to St. Louis. That’s on the way here. If I could get you another inch of rain this week just before the best weather weekend of the Summer… I might be able to get a gold medal, right?
Ernesto is now a tropical storm with winds around 70 mph as it moves across Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Additional weakening is expected today. Ernesto struck as a hurricane around midnight Winds were 85 mph when it swept over the town of Mahuahal, and then moved into a thinly populated coastal region. The storm could regain hurricane strength after its center emerges over the Bay of Campeche.
The Storm Prediction Center says there’s a slight risk for severe weather Thursday. I think the most likely time for that around here is in the afternoon and evening.
