This is a photo from NASA’s Aqua satellite of Super Typhoon Nuri. The remnants of Nuri will evolve into an intense storm off the coast of Alaska this weekend. That energy will cause the jet stream to buckle allowing a Polar Plung of air into the eastern US next week.
