Over 35 percent of the state is now in a “severe or extreme drought,” according to the latest Drought Monitor issued Thursday morning. All of central Indiana is now in a “moderate drought.” The moderate drought area almost doubled since last week. The northeast and southwest corners continue to be hardest hit.
