But wait, there’s more! My Indy high temp forecast is either 79 or 80 for the next week. The average is 71 over that stretch. The day-to-day average falls fast during Fall.
So far: September is averaging 2.9 degrees below normal. The only months in the last year here that have been above average were May and June. And it wasn’t by much of a margin. (April was exactly even statistically.)
No significant pattern change is expected around here (and that’s good) until a big-time trough arrives later Thursday into Friday next week, causing a cold front to crash our perfect party. ‘Til then: memorize this stuff. Because this will happen sooner or later:
