...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southern Hancock,
Shelby, northern Johnson and southeastern Marion Counties through
1015 PM EDT...
At 919 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Greenwood, or 10 miles southeast of Indianapolis, moving east at 25
mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Indianapolis, Shelbyville, Greenwood, Franklin, Beech Grove,
Southport, New Whiteland, Whiteland, Bargersville, New Palestine,
Morristown, Homecroft, Fairland, and Boggstown.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 65 between mile markers 91 and 106.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 96 and 122.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

shelter inside a building or vehicle.
