* At 954 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northeast
of Brandenburg, moving east at 75 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Louisville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Jeffersontown, St.
Matthews, Shively, Shepherdsville, Lyndon, Middletown, and Douglass
Hills.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for south central
Indiana…and central Kentucky. A Tornado Watch also remains in
effect until 300 AM EDT for central Kentucky.
