...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northeastern Vigo,
western Hendricks, northwestern Clay, southern Parke, southern
Vermillion and southern Putnam Counties through 230 PM EDT...
At 157 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Greencastle to near Vermilion. Movement
was south at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Greencastle, Brazil, Clinton, Cloverdale, Fairview Park, Rosedale,
Harmony, Fillmore, Carbon, Universal, Fontanet, Blanford,
Shepardsville, Lena, Belle Union, Bridgeton, Reelsville, Sandford,
and North Terre Haute.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 39 and 46.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
