...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of western Monroe,
southeastern Owen, northeastern Greene and northwestern Lawrence
Counties through 530 PM EDT...
At 503 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles east of Spencer to 10 miles southwest
of Bloomington. Movement was north at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. Training
storms over the same area may pose a Flash Flood risk over
the next hour.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Stinesville, Ellettsville, Whitehall, and Bloomington.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
