...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of west central
Hancock, northeastern Marion and south central Hamilton Counties
through 415 PM EDT...
At 400 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lawrence, or 9 miles northeast of Indianapolis, moving northeast at
10 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Geist Reservoir, McCordsville, Lawrence, Fishers, and Indianapolis.
This includes Interstate 70 near mile marker 92.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
