Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana…
White River.
Eel River at Bowling Green.
.Significant and potentially major flooding is expected to develop
in the White River basin due to several rounds of heavy rainfall
through Sunday. The current forecast includes three to seven inches
of rain over 72 hours in the White basin, but does not include the
final round of heavy rainfall expected Saturday and Saturday night,
so crests will likely be higher than those currently forecast and
last longer.
* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…White River at Hazleton.
* WHEN…From Friday afternoon until further notice.
* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, People in residential cabins on the
riverward side of the levee generally relocate. Many local roads
are completely impassable. Oil fields are inaccessible. The
remaining water pumps are installed on the west end of Hazleton.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– There is no current observed data.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage Friday
afternoon to 26.0 feet Tuesday morning.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
