FOR SOUTHEASTERN SULLIVAN…NORTHEASTERN KNOX…NORTHERN MARTIN…
GREENE AND NORTHERN DAVIESS COUNTIES…
At 624 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northeast of
Washington, or 22 miles northeast of Petersburg, moving east at 45
mph.
HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include…
Newberry, Lyons, Bicknell, West Boggs Lake, Crane, Carlisle, Burns
City, Sandborn, Elnora, Pleasantville, Plainville, Bloomfield, Indian
Springs, Oaktown, Linton, Freelandville, Bruceville, Odon,
Edwardsport, and Vincennes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for south central
and southwestern Indiana.
