Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana…
White River at Petersburg and Hazleton.
.Recent heavy rainfall has resulted in minor flooding along the
White River at Petersburg and Hazleton. River levels are expected to
reach minor flood stage on Monday and remain at these levels through
the week.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…White River at Hazleton.
* WHEN…From Tuesday morning to Sunday, March 23.
* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, Floodwaters cover much low ground in
agricultural season. Low lying oil fields…Pottsville Road and
possibly a few other low rural roads flood. High water isolates
Pottstown, a river cabin community.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– There is no current observed data.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage Tuesday
morning to 17.7 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will then
fall early Thursday afternoon. It will rise to 17.8 feet
Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
evening.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
