Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana…
East Fork White River at Seymour.
Muscatatuck River at Vernon.
.Widespread rainfall of 1 to 2.5 inches fell Saturday into Saturday
night and has led to rapid rises along southern Indiana rivers and
streams. Flooding has begun along the Muscatatuck River at Vernon
and is expected to begin later this morning along the East Fork
White River at Seymour. Additional smaller streams are elevated and
will remain elevated through the day.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Muscatatuck River at Vernon.
* WHEN…From early this morning to late this evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:30 AM EST Sunday the stage was 17.7 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:30 AM EST Sunday was 17.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.0
feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
this morning.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
