Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana…
Wabash River at Montezuma.
Wabash River at Lafayette.
.Recent heavy rainfall will lead to minor flooding along the Wabash
River near Lafayette and Montezuma, which will last until Saturday.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Wabash River at Montezuma.
* WHEN…From this afternoon to early Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along
the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of
Montezuma begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:45 AM EST Wednesday the stage was 13.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this afternoon to a crest of 15.2 feet Friday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
