Strong high pressure in Kentucky has another lid on active weather today.
Today’s cloud update: the nearest ones are 300-400 miles to the northwest and west. Upper air ridging was found over the Mississippi Valley and A cut-off low had reached Colorado, bringing showers and across the high plains. The upper low will be pushing across the Plains, moving northeast toward Illinois. However, this system looks to remain positively tiled, keeping any big impacts to the north/northwest of us. A cold front associated with the system will move through Wednesday which will shift the wind direction from the southwest to northwest. That’ll put us into the 30s Wednesday night, and 60s Thursday. Another cold front arrives Friday, bringing the chance for light showers. Nothin’ more than a tenth of inch is expected for most.
