Clouds increase and temperatures decrease today and tomorrow. An upper air wave is sagging southward, and there have been a few lake-effect showers off Lake Michigan already today. A few isolated showers are possible in the northern half of Indiana today. The best chance of scattered showers comes late tonight and Tuesday morning.
At the surface: low pressure in New York is expected to deepen, continuing to provide a moderate pressure gradient across Central Indiana along with cyclonic lower level flow. Gusts of around 25 mph will continue to
be possible.
The upper level wave departs, and high pressure at the surface begins to take over Tuesday night. With some clearing and lighter wind there could be patches of frost Wednesday morning. Frost is likely early Thursday morning. Quiet weather is expected for another week after that, with a slow-but-sure warming trend.
