Surface high pressure re-builds from the northeast today…pushing deeper moisture out of the area. Look for partly cloudy skies today with temperatures warming into the upper 80s. Some locations may even reach or exceed the 90F mark. A few winds gusts around 20 mph this afternoon. The upper air pattern also features a ridge of high pressure that remains relatively unchanged through Tuesday.
That’s when a tropical system pushing into the middle Atlantic state may head toward OH/PA/WV by Wednesday. This weak system, mainly impacting the eastern parts of the forecast area will remain our best, yet very small, chance for rain over the next week.
Continued above normal temperatures will be expected, with a continued warm and dry air mass in place.
