Hello! And hi! High pressure continues controlling Indiana weather. A large and strong area of it is centered over the state. The high was influencing the weather from the Dakotas to NY and PA and as far south as Arkansas and Northern Mississippi.
The northwest flow aloft will remain in place today as the upper level ridging over the western CONUS begins to build and push across
the Rockies. A little wave will push into IL and IN through the course of the day. Meanwhile, within the lower levels the strong, broad and dry area of high pressure will remain in place. This will result in dry lower levels through the course of today. As the rain from Illinois moves east it will encounter dry air within the lower levels in our area. Expect the sky to go mostly cloudy, but there may only be some “spits and drizzle” around this evening.
Temps will warm back to average by mid-week, with humidity and storm chances returning Thursday.
