The weekly Drought Monitor shows the northern half of Indiana drying up again. Portions of southern Indiana are also in the “abnormally dry” range.
Little rain is expected in the next week, with a third of an inch *possible* after midnight Saturday night into Sunday.
The rain chance Sunday is connected to the cold front shown below. There’s nothing above average ahead for at least a week!
That map covers Saturday, and also shows the approach of Hurricane Lee toward Maine, where a Hurricane Watch is in place. A Tropical Storm Warning was issued this morning for Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. Go here for the latest.
