Monday’s high at Indy was 90 degrees, and it was the 25th time since 1872 that the high hit 90 or higher on Labor Day. The warmest Labor Day high temperature on record at Indy was 99 degrees in 1954.
Remember the Labor Day flooding of 2003? We were coming back to Indiana from a family trip, and had to re-navigate to avoid the high water. There was 7.2 inches of rain that day at the International Airport.
A quarter to half-inch of rainfall is expected through tomorrow. There will be a few spotty storms today, with a better chance after midnight tonight through tomorrow morning. Another round of storms will arrive in the later afternoon and evening.
