Three major threats over the next 48 hours in central Indiana. General wind gusts today could hit 45 mph, and so a Wind Advisory is in place for all of Central Indiana.
The next threat: flooding. Rain will become heavy at times after midnight into Thursday. A Flood Watch is in place…again for all of central Indiana. Up to *three* inches of rainfall is possible, and that spells trouble when combined with melting snow/ice packs, and river ice jams.
The third threat is from Indy southward Thursday, where thunderstorms are possible, and could contain damaging wind gusts.
Additionally, River Flood Warnings are already in place for the Lafayette area, where there could be an inch of snow late Thursday afternoon and evening. Heavy snow will accumulate in the “the region” of Northwest Indiana into Chicagoland.
