Here comes the heat! Yesterday stopped a 14-day streak of below average temperatures. Our high temp goes above average today and will likely stay there for the next week, and then we will finish the month with near-normal highs in the mid to upper 70s. And just for the heck of it: the model blends right now for Race weekend have some rain chances for central Indiana…so yeah the world is back to normal.
Today’s lingering shower and storm chances are linked in part to a northward-moving warm front at the surface.
Up above us: the first “heat dome” of the season establishes itself over the Eastern U.S.
Humidity is noticeable (even for heat lovers like me) by Sunday into next week.
