One good thing about the atmosphere across the country so far this year: pretty quiet on the severe weather front. As of March 1 there have only been 25 reports of tornadoes, well below last year’s 141 near the end of February, when the average is 100.
(The comparison chart was updated through February 26th. There were two tornado reports since, on the last day of February.)
Certainly nothing like that around in the near future in central Indiana according to computer modeling through St Patrick’s Day. One day with the potential for some minor instability: Wednesday of next week. That’s about it, for the moment.
