The end of July…is dry. Indy finishes the month with 3.86 inches of rain. The average is 4.43 inches. For the year we are still way above average, with just over 33 inches. The average to this point is just over 26 inches. Don’t expect to add to that total over the next week.
Precipitation was also lower than average in Lafayette, Terre Haute, and Bloomington. A different story in Muncie, with 7.54 inches recorded in July.
Temperatures this month were above average, with the highest of 93 in Indy on July 18 and 20, during one sweaty stretch. Muncie made it to 96. Highest was 94 in Lafayette and 95 in the Haute. Bloomington’s highest was 91. Hmm.
