day when the July 4th high at IND was 102 degrees. The picture I have from
that year isn’t quite as jolly.
We missed the all-time Independence Day high by a degree that day. That
still stands from 1911.
Lafayette did set a record that day in 2012, with an even 100 degrees. The
average high on July 4th in central Indiana is in the mid 80s.
