Don’t blame me, blame this! (Click on any image to enlarge.) The north-of-central-Indiana track of the center of the low pressure opens us up to a wintry mix of trouble Sunday afternoon and evening. The stuff starts as all snow Sunday morning. (It may start late Saturday evening around Lafayette.) The low will arrive in central Indiana Sunday morning. The biggest precip chances are in the afternoon and evening. By that time warmer air begins moving in above the surface. That will initially change the snow to sleet, and then freezing rain by late afternoon. We should see all rain by evening as temps at the surface hold in the mid 30s. The cold front passes Monday morning, and by then there will be just enough moisture to squeeze out some flurries. Final snow totals will hinge on how quickly the changes comes.
