This is the end, my friend, with Summer slipping away officially at 10:21am.
Last September was also warm, with Indy temps 3.6 degrees above average, and a big 7 days at or above 90. This year we’re running 4.1 above average, but only one day hit 90. When does it end? Not for the next three days, as a strong upper ridge keeps precipitation to the west. But it will break down, and allow a cold front to approach by late Monday THAT spells showers and storm chances. Then: a secondary wave brings showers and even cooler temps Friday. From Monday through Wednesday we may add another inch of rain on to an already large September total. PAUL’S PREVIOUS PREDICTION Yesterday’s high was 88 in Indy. My forecast was 87. INDY ALMANAC The average high today is 75 and the average low is 53. Records are 93 and 37. The sun rises at 7:33am and sets at 7:41pm. INDY SEVEN DAY FORECAST Today: Mostly sunny again. High 88. Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 64. Friday: Mostly to partly sunny. High 87. Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 65. Saturday: Mostly sunny. High 87. Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Low 64. Sunday: Mostly sunny. High 86. Sunday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 66. Monday: Partly sunny. Chance of afternoon showers and storms. High 88. Monday Night: Chance of showers and storms. Low 60. Tuesday: Partly sunny. High 71. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 54.
