SPEEDWAY HAIKU
It won’t get rained out
but can’t completely rule out
a hit or miss storm.
A few showers rolled northeastward through the metro Friday morning, but most of Carb Day will be high and dry. The biggest chances will be west of Indy, where there is more energy in the middle/upper atmosphere. Most of central Indiana should be quiet tonight. Here’s some computer modeling via weatherbell.com. The sequence is 9am, 12pm, 2pm, 5pm, and 9pm.
Still a chance an upper level twist or two could spark showers or storms after midnight tonight through the day Saturday. Saturday night looks to be dry. Sunday’s forecast remains the same: there’s a chance of mainly afternoon showers and storms. In fact, if any form in northeast Indiana they have a marginal risk of being severe.
That’s because of a cold front that will approach from the west and should move through in the late afternoon and evening.
